Why Hello! Yes, I know this post is long over due, and I will be adding all sorts of pictures and info on our choices in the next few days... Because its really happening!!!
The ground is broken, the footings have been poured, there is some piping done, and next is to finish pouring the foundation. Oh! And start the framing!! The lumber is there and I know the guys must be itching to start.
However, we have had the rainiest season in a very very long time... Rivers are at their highest levels EVER, roads are washing out, sink holes, major flooding...
Which of course does not help our builders.
They are continuing to do work as they can though!
Stephen Nantz, our PM, has been amazing! I sent him an email about some concerns, and he responded quickly and is absolutely understanding.... He can't predict nor control the weather, and neither can we.
So he has allayed our concerns about wet wood, protecting us against mold growth, etc.
I'm very happy with how they are "handling" us. Hehehe
The guys at the job site have been so friendly, and welcoming to us to look around, and explore the building process, etc.
So... so far so good!
Now if the now 7inches of rainfall, over our average, could slack off for awhile that would be great. :)
